All the latest natural skin care tips we hear about on the TV are there for the single purpose of promoting the latest skin-care products, but skin care doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. Here’s some simple and natural skin care tips you can use starting today to help protect your skin and prolong it’s youthful appearance.
Natural Skin Care Tips For Dry Skin
Dry, tight skin has too little moisture and insufficient sebum production. If you have dry skin, you’ll know all too well how extremes of heat and cold dry weather aggravate it. The best way to care for this skin type is to use cleansing milks and creams, leaving them on to dissolve your make-up, then tissue off. Repeat, until the tissue comes away clean.
Refresh your skin with tepid (not hot) water or a mild, alcohol-free toner. Even too much water can strip away natural oils and leave your skin feeling dry and uncomfortable. While your skin is damp, apply a thick, creamy moisturizer to restore essential oils and lock in precious moisture. Avoid products containing lanolin or any fragrance, which may stress your skin.
Natural Skin Care Tips Handling Combination Skin
If, like many women, you have a combination skin with both dry areas and an oily T-zone, try to avoid having a complicated cleansing routine or it will become a chore. Keep your skin care simple by using just a mild cleanser all over and washing it off with warm water.
Alternatively, try a daily routine in which you address the oily T-zone in the morning, by using a foaming facial wash all over. Then, in the evening, use a cream cleanser all over to benefit the dry areas. Leave for 30 seconds then rinse off. Apply a mild toner using cotton wool balls on both areas, or avoid the dry area. If your skin sometimes feels dry, moisturize it morning and night – being sure to concentrate on any dry patches and tissuing off any excess from the oily areas.
Facial Skin Care Tips For Normal Skin
If you have normal skin, you’re lucky: not many people do. Bear in mind, though, that your skin may change and become drier with age, so move towards creamier products if you notice any dry patches appearing.
Use creamy, water-soluble cleansers to remove pollution and grime, or try a gentle facial wash. Massage the cleanser into your skin to improve circulation, leave to dissolve away any make-up and then rinse off with warm water. Remove any excess cleanser with a mild toner or rose-water.
Moisturize with a day cream containing SPF15. Normal skin needs less fuss than others, but that is no excuse for becoming sloppy – partially removed make-up results in skin blemishes, and mascara left overnight makes eye lashes brittle.
